The Good Life Institute did it again. They provided the Town of Vermilion with a classy night showcasing what Vermilion’s culinary scene has to offer. The whole night was about mingling, networking and tasting the elegance and sophistication of Vermilion and the surrounding area.
As the doors opened at 5 p.m., a stream of hungry and thirsty patrons came into the aroma-rich hall. The sound of laughter and old friends meeting echoed through the venue.
Each vendor table provided a different product to try, from scotch, wine and beer to flavoured vodka. Whatever the taste buds were craving it was available. There were many different pairings to be made with the delicious delicacies being offered. The choices were plentiful – from sushi, chocolate covered strawberries and cheesecake to perogies, cabbage rolls, meatballs and more!
Soft classical music played in the background that gave a welcoming atmosphere as more guests came through the door to fill the venue. Many tested their wine knowledge with a blind wine tasting and those who got a perfect score were entered into a draw. If wine isn’t tantalizing enough there was a Tour of Scotch where guest could try top shelf scotch.
As the night ended the energy in the room was at a high, guests were still mingling and tasting as the Good Life Coordinator, Candice Anderson sincerely thanked everyone for coming out to support a great night. And as usual, the small-town mentality kicked in. Many guests helped with the clean up before saying goodnight.
